The Roger Hatchuel Academy is a student learning programme designed to introduce students to the advertising industry and help them kick-start their careers. For further information on the programme, visit the global website. It is sponsored locally by GroupM Australia.
The Roger Hatchuel Academy was founded in 2003. The student academy, delivered in partnership with Google Creative Campus, is a 6-day programme that takes place during the festival.
It is designed to help students interested in pursuing a creative path in advertising launch their careers.
Nine experts from across the creative communications and marketing world join forces to select 40 students who take part in this annual training course.
The Australian student selected will be sponsored by GroupM Australia to attend the programme (flights & accommodation costs are covered).
There are three stages to the application process.
Interested applicants should firstly submit an application before the deadline of Friday 8 November.
All entries will be assessed by a panel of carefully selected industry experts in Australia.
Ten shortlisted finalists will be announced on Friday 22 November.
Those shortlisted are then given eight weeks to create a two minute video on why they should be selected to attend the Academy.
The top three videos will be selected by our local judging panel and submitted to the Cannes Lions Roger Hatchuel selection committee with the eventual winner announced on 1 April 2020.
